I am a mail man…I am glad this is not our uniform…I like shorts and a short sleeve shirt and my ball cap…although carrying a kid in my satchel might be amusing

This is so cute! I LOVVEEEE old photographs- this program is awesome!
what a wonderful photo
This is a great photograph. I just wonder what the thought process was going into this. Spur of the moment, or thought up over some beers the night before?
haha

Haha, i love the expression on the little boy’s face, so cute…
Nice city letter carrier
Awesome picture
Cute story about the kids being mailed. Ha!
The same kind of humor which turned Buster Keaton into a stone-face for the rest of his life.
Very funny, therefore.
Great picture! I have only one old one, turn of the century of my grandparents, from Poland.
haha cute
cool *-*
Cool. Always a good way to hold

Willy Tyler & Lester (circa 1900)

Found in a search. (?)
the models have a stranger impression , look so cute
Shouldn’t the wee one be marked…"FRAGILE?" ; )
Fantástica
Well, the whole thing is artistically not quite so impressing; the compo is… well, is there any compo at all?
The models aren’t quite expressive either and this ape-like alien creature in the bag really gives me the shivers… and it’s also a bit overexposed too.
But well, it’s intereseting from an historicla point of view
It’s a documentary photo… I doubt the photographer was worried about being artistically impressive.
Thank you Brenda
you took the words right out of my mouth
have to agree with Brenda there. i’m sorry you don’t like the "compo", and would like to see you try to make a properly exposed image using circa 1900 camera equipment, film and development techniques.
i hope you’re being sarcastic when you jump in with a lightweight, camera club style critique on what is clearly "historicla" photo.
woowowooo is beautiful!
there was time wen this was love
Industrial Rev.
one of my fav.
WOAH :]
That kids head is enormous!.. almost as big as the mailman’s.

Great picture
It really is slightly disturbing…
I love this!
abslutely fantastic!
I wonder if the child would get served complimentary nuts and drinks on their travel?

I find no humor in this. Considering the time period involved, it was most likely the desperation of parents hoping to send their child to a better life by any means possible.
like it!
wonderful image, and amazing 2 kids got sent through the mail!
Мне тоже очень понравилось. так держать amigo.
An amazing photo!!!!
Sua foto é interessante. Chamou minha atenção enquanto passeava pelos meus grupos ou pelo Explorar. Parabéns! Você tem sensibilidade suficiente para tirar uma boa fotografia.

Your picture is interesting. It called my attention while I was looking at my groups ones and Explore ones. Congratulations! You have enough sensibility to take a good photography.
I love the way the baby has tucked his/her hands in.
There is pride going on in this photo. From the point of view of the man’s gainful employment and from the point of view of fatherhood. Either that or the mailman has made an odd find out on his round.
:}
cute !
congrats on explore
great invention!!XDD
cute photo , makes people smile .
I can not believe any parent would "mail" their precious child !

the shot is awsome, the comments on the other hand–way retarded…
wooow !!!
OMG :S is a beutifull xd
You have to remember that there are very little shadows in black and white pictures, it uses non-color wavelengths such as infra-red on the sliver-based film. So anything in the shadows does shows very well in these films because infra-red reflects light better than colors. That’s why the hands and face are different, since the face is actually in the shadows of sunlight.
Love it, classic photo. It reminds me of celebrities that carry their dogs in bags. Maybe trashy magazines would be more interesting if celebrities started carrying their children in mail bags.
muito boa
fabulous snap!!!

(I’m still laughing at the comment about the ‘kids head being as big as the mailman’s…creepy"). Can you imagine being stuck with someone’s child like that?? I don’t even want to watch the neighbor’s kid for an hour!!
